Culm Valley Comets Basketball
Basketball for children and young people in the Culm Valley
Culm Valley Comets is a friendly, non-profit community basketball club based in the Culm Valley. Established in 2005, the club welcomes boys and girls ages 8-18, whether they are completely new to basketball or already have experience on the court.
With more than 80 young players, the Comets provide a fun, supportive environment where children can develop their basketball skills, build confidence and enjoy being part of a team.
Training takes place at Uffculme School Sports Hall (at Uffculme Sport & Fitness Centre), with teams competing in tournaments and leagues throughout the season.

Safeguarding and Safety
Culm Valley Comets is fully registered and insured with England Basketball (registration number CA2809), and all adults working directly with children have an enhanced DBS check.
Parents and carers are asked to ensure children arrive promptly for sessions and are collected on time, as the sports facilities are shared with the wider community.
Want to give basketball a try?
If your child would like to get involved, there’s no need to have played basketball before. Come along, meet the team, and give it a go!
For training sessions, please wear comfortable sports clothing and non-marking indoor shoes, and bring a drink - preferable water - in a non-spill container.
